- Volunteers provide assisted transportation for caregivers and care recipients anywhere within city limits by prior arrangement.
- Clients must be ambulatory (canes and walkers are acceptable) and live in a private dwelling.
- Users must live within postal codes R3L, R3M, R3N, R3P, and R3T north of Oakenwald.
- Call for registration form and home visit.
- Will reimburse veterans for trips to medical appointments; must be a client on pension to offer benefits. Call for details on eligibility and application procedures.
- Service for people in wheelchairs and walking devices.
- Fully escorted transportation service.
- Fee: $12.40 plus $1.26 per km traveled.
- Duffy’s, Spring, Blue Line and Unicity all offer some form of service to customers in wheelchairs or with walkers. These services vary and are charged at the regular taxi rate. Call the individual companies for details on their services.
